RSS-Feed shows wrong header of entries

  1. Hey community,

my RSS-Feed seems to be showing the wrong headers. On this Page ( you can see the rss-feed of the blog I am running. Unfortunately the headers shown there are not the ones I chose for the articles I am writing. How can I approach this problem? Is this known already? Am I just making a silly little user-error?

    Hoping for answers!

The blog I need help with is

  2. Hello there,
I'm sorry but is NOT a free hosted blog and you cannot get support for it here. You are posting to the wrong support forum. and have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. If you don't have a username account at WordPress.ORG click and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  3. I am not asking for support for and I am aware of the differences... neither is geobotanik.uni-freiburg a I am asking for support, why my headers don't get shown properly there. I am not sure where the problem is, thus I am asking for hints on how to approach this. Other rss-feeds get shown on the geobotany-page properly, but my wordpress.COM page not.
I would still think that it is also in the interested of wordpress.COM to help resolve this problem, if it is a common one.

  4. Hi Steffen - It appears the RSS widget on that site is displaying the tooltip text for the very last image in each of your posts, instead of the title.

This isn't the fault of your feed, however. If you look at the feed itself, you can see the titles are set correctly:

Have you noticed this problem in any other feed readers, such as the Reader, or only on the site?

  5. Hi eurello,

    thank you for your feedback!
No, I did not make that experience with any other feed reader so far. I guess it is than a specific problem their feed reader has with the setup. I will contact the support of my university, if they know anything about that...

Is a feed not only an xml-list? How can it than happen that they take the tooltip of the last image as the header?

  6. Hi Steffen - Honestly, I have no idea. I've never seen that before. The tooltips are included in the feed (media:title), but I can't see why any RSS widget would pull them for the title. Make sure they're using this URL exactly for your feed:
