rss feeds for podcast category

  1. I want to run podcast on my blog. for that i have created 'podcast' category and posted all my mp3 file links in that category. Now I want to submit this feed to feedburner to create podcast. but when I tried to submit 'podcast' category url, in feedburner it created feeds for my whole blog. I want to know whether we can create rss feed for specific category in my case for 'podcast'?
Just because of this problem I have created new blog for podcast and then submit its url to feedburner. but I want to run my podcast on my same blog and not on new blog. Is there any solution for it?

  2. Yup, just add /feed/ after your category URL. For example:

    http: //

Note the space added after the colon to get it to show up here. Please remember to remove it when you use the URL though.

Now note though that doing Podcasts requires certain information added into the RSS feed (WordPress calls them custom fields) and that is not supported here. What you're doing may or may not work the way you want it to. Do a search for iTunes and podcast and you should see a coupel of threads covering this in the past.

    Good luck,

  3. I tried it but it didn't work. whenever I post category url( as you suggest) in Feedburner, feed turns in to blog feed. I get feed for whole blog and not for only my 'podcast' category.

  4. I need to know what you are looking at. :)

  5. I need to run podcast on my same blog so that all audio files should be in one category, then i want to add this category in 'feedburner'. by doing this, I will create podcast of only audio files and in podcast aggregator there will not be all the stuff that is present on my blog.
but when i try to add podcast category url in feedburner, it creates feeds for whole blog and not for just podcast category.

  6. I realize what you're trying to do but you're not giving me any information on what specifically you are doing. I know what you're trying to do. :)

    I took your feed:

    http: //

    and put it into Feedburner.

It gave me the following feed:

    http: //

which contains your two posts for that category.

I need to know what specifically you are looking at to help you. :)
