RSS Links Widget Not Working At All

  1. radiatingsmiles

Hi, my RSS links widget as well as the RSS for posts and comments made available under Meta widget aren't working at all. I get a message like this when I click on them: "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."

I'm using Oxygen as theme and to be honest, I've had nothing but glitches with this one. I recently switched to this theme actually. Anyway, I'd appreciate any suggestions as to why the RSS links widget and the Meta widget for comments and posts (RSS) aren't working. Thank you.

  2. That's because you're viewing it via Chrome. ALL RSS feeds will give an error like that in Chrome, because Chrome doesn't have a built-in feed reader. Your feed is actually fine. You can view it via a reader like GoogleReader or something similar.

Hi, thx for u're reply. I went and checked with Firefox and the feed was working fine like you said. I had no idea that Chrome didn't allow RSS feeds. I guess WordPress doesn't have a work around with that? I'm not too familiar with RSS so the question I just asked may be strange but I somehow thought maybe there may be a way around for Chrome to accept RSS feeds.

  4. Chrome does not have bult-in feedreader. Therefore you have to install this > RSS Subscription Extension (by Google) for Chrome
