RSS widget does not appear?

Hi,
I’m using the connections theme for my blog. While builiding my sidebar all the widgets appear and behave correctly. When I drag a RSS widget in there and save the changes it does not appear on the refreshed blog. I’m using the latest version of Firefow browser but get an error message when I go into the widgets pane on the dashboard.

“Unresponsive script – A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding…”

Any help would be appreciated.

I would send a Feedback to staff, being very specific about the error. Lots of people are reporting weirdness with their widgets, particularly the dynamic ones. Do this before Support closes for the weekend!

I’m having a similar problem. I’ve tried putting several different rss feeds into the widget but none of them will show up in my blog.

I just added my forum posts to my blog and it seemed to work. Have you tested to make sure you have the exact RSS feed? It would try it again and if not, send in a feedback as Raincoaster has suggested on Monday morning when Staff and support open up again.

getting widget errors right now when trying to get my RSS feed up there… something is definitely broken at the moment

Have you been able to pull your own RSS feed to your reader? If not, then the problem’s not the widget, it’s the feed. And have you been able to post the RSS widget and have it functioning before? It’s a bit fiddly to format, so if this is your first time setting it up it might not be formatted correctly. We need more specifics to be able to help.

As for whether or not you quit WordPress, that doesn’t matter one way or another to the volunteers in the forum. We’re here to help solve technical issues with WordPress.com blogs, not to glue you to any particular blogging platform. Come or go as you please.

I just tried all the feeds in your sidebar and they were all fully operational.
