RSS widget linking back to main site instead of RSS
I’m not sure if this is the right place. My blog is charlierise.wordpress.com – I’ve been trying to set up something in sidebar that will link to my podcast RSS. The RSS widget seems to be the best bet but the RSS title of “Episode RSS” links back to charlierise.com when clicked instead of http://charlierise.com/category/blaring-like-a-trumpet-podcast/feed/ which the widget is using.
Is there any way to get it pointed to the correct link?
I wish it did but it doesn’t.
I had a feedburner feed in “Enter the RSS feed URL here:” slot on the RSS widget and the RSS title still linked back to my website instead of the feed.
Basically, what I’m hoping to achieve is for the “Episode RSS” link above the listed episodes to point to the actual RSS feed instead of back to my website
(sorry if I’m repeating myself but I’m unsure if I’m explaining it right)

That’s how the widget is designed. The widget title links back to the main site URL for the feed.
Is there some way to request for that feature be added? Because linking back to the main site isn’t very useful when it’s on the front page to begin with.
Besides text or image widgets is there some other way to link to a RSS feed in the sidebar? I tried using an image hyperlink but it left too much dead space in between the other widgets.
Thanks for all the help! I really appreciate it.
Yes, I did make note of your request for future consideration.
At this time, the RSS widget is the only way to display an RSS feed in your sidebar.
Thanks for putting in a note.
I ended up doing Text Widget plus hyperlinks with icons and it came out ok. So happy ending :)
Thanks again guys!
I’m so happy to hear you found a solution. Best wishes with your blog. :)
