RSS/Email Button and Sidebar issues in Skeptical Theme

I recently moved to using Woothemes Skeptical theme. Overall, I’m very happy with the theme.

The only issues I have are with the RSS/Email buttons in the header (I’d like to remove them) and the sidebar being too small (not able to support Medium Rectangle Adsense ads).

What I’m looking for is what I have to do to remove the RSS/Email buttons in the header and increase the sidebar width to be able to support 300×250 ads. I know how to add custom CSS code (and if you show what I need to remove from the editor I can do that as well).

    Here’s a link to the site: http://digitalwriter.net/

Thanks in advance for any help.
