Hi there, I’ve tagged WordPress.com staff to help you with this issue. You’ll likely receive a response within a few hours from a staff member: https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question

Hope this gets resolved soon. :)

Thanks, I’ll file this request for you. If we bring in this translation we will need a validator, so let me know if that’s something you’re willing to do, too. Thank you!

One more thing, are you the same person as saraiki in the .org translation project? I noticed your username here is slightly different, and we’ll need to confirm anyway.

Thanks, just wanted to confirm. The other username is available here, so if you happen to want it and are planning on changing it, let us know.

And we’ll let you know when we hear back from our internationalization team.

Hello! I have added Saraiki as a language for WordPress.com (https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/skr/default/). Since this is a new language, we recommend that you get started by importing the existing translations for Saraiki from translate.wordpress.org.

To become a validator, you will first need to have two-step authentication enabled on your WordPress.com account. Once this is enabled, we can grant you validator access.

In the meantime, please have a look at our getting started guide for more information about translating WordPress.com.

@sraiki I’ve let our translations team know you have 2FA enabled so you can be made validator. They’ll follow up again with you soon. Cheers :)

@sraiki, I have added you as a validator for Saraiki on translate.wordpress.com. You should now be able to validate strings for this language.

To import the strings from previous releases, go to the GlotPress in .org (https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/skr), scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the “Export” link to export the strings as a .po file. Ideally, you will want to import the strings for all previous releases to capture as many strings as possible.

Then, go to https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/skr/default/ and at the bottom of the strings list, you can click “Import Translations” and select the .po file you downloaded from .org to import the strings.

We have gone ahead and imported the strings from the last release (5.0), but have not imported the strings for the previous releases.

@emilingually, Thanks for all these. Kindly add Saraiki language in themes, and other all projects.

    #3215885

@sraiki Are there any specific themes you are using that you would like access to first? I have added Saraiki to the “Spirit” theme (h) ttps://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom%2Fthemes%2Fspirit/skr/default/ which is the theme your site is using.

Let me know if there are any other themes you would like us to add Saraiki to.
