Up until today I could see may daily stats compared day to day with my averages, that seems to have disappeared how do I get it back. Thank you.

The blog I need help with is rakmilphotography.wordpress.com.

I even had a bookmark set up so I could go straight to my old stats page because I check them every day and because I don’t like the new one. I assume, sadly, that you’ve done away with the old stats page. If you haven’t, and it’s still available, I’d appreciate knowing the link or a workaround to get to it.

I have had the same problem. The stats summaries were very useful. How do I get them back?

In addition to the averages by day, week and year, which were accessed via via Summaries, being removed, I also notice that you can no longer see a summary of views by country for all years. You have to go to each year in turn. This is a backward step for many users.

The website I need the stats for is pocketbookuk.com.

I’ve got the same problem. I suspect WP finally killed off the older, significantly better stats page. I have had the old one bookmarked ever since the new, lame one was installed. Now my bookmark just goes to the crappy one. I hope this is not the case but I am not optimistic considering the way this issue was handled in the past.

I feared this day would come…

I, too, had bookmarked the old stats page because it gave me more information. Especially the summaries stats. I guess I’ll just ignore my stats from now on.

I like lots of the things that you’re trying to do and many of the improvements that you’re making, so thank you for all your hard work.

But, I’m also not very impressed about the changes to the stats page.
When you changed the default settings a couple of years ago, it was said then that you were going to reinstate the summary table, but you still haven’t Link to the post and discussion

It is still possible to get to the table, but now only through the old admin dashboard, onto site stats and then clicking on the summaries link in the top right-hand corner, which is a lot of clicks and also isn’t as well presented.

I’m sorry that you’ve chosen to do this. I understand that more people are accessing your site primarily via tablets, but like pocketbookuk says above this is a backward step for many users. Actually, I think it’s a yet another backward step, after the last ‘enhancement’ – which wasn’t, it was to make it easier to read on a tablet, which isn’t the same.

Thanks again for all the good things that you do, but can we please have at least the table linked from the main stats page?!

That worked until about 2 minutes ago. Now that just goes to the new stats page as well, sans the summary link!

@bubbasuess – I’m still seeing it at the minute (I’ve just checked).
From WP Admin – Dashboard – then Site Stats on the side menu (not View All below the graph), then Summaries.
Because obviously I want to make that many clicks to get to an inferior version of the page I could see before they messed it up…

Dear WordPress – you obviously have to keep this data so that you can give us the graphs, so why are you stopping us seeing it?!

You’ve asked me all too often why I like the old stats page, but never allowed me to tell you in your checklist.

I work on a 13″ laptop. Your layout deprives me of seeing the full links for the “Posts and Pages” section AND when I highlight any particularl link, it does not provide the entire description.

Your new layout gives me LESS information that I want at a glance.

I pay you for my site, and I did not want you to force me to change this.

I also DO NOT LIKE your new post creation layout.

Do our wishes count for anything, or are you just going to force us to use a less useful UI because you think it’s pretty?!?

@gprutter. I looked again just now at the WP Admin Dashboard, and Site Stats in the menu takes you to what looks like a slightly revised version of the Old Stats page. The Summaries link is in the same position.

The only changes I can see are that the highest number of views in the summaries are in green, and on the main page there is no longer the number of views by country and there is no accompanying map.

@pocketbookuk But do notice that if you access via admin/site stats, only views are shown, and not the number of visitors.

    @shoreacres. Yes, I didn’t spot that change.

Like guitarlicksandtabs, I have regularly responded to the popup that asked what I like about the (old) stats, that it gives me better information.

What has the palaver today been all about? The old stats seem to have come back so I have updated my shortcut, but there is still less information.

    Mercy WP !
You killed the Reader and now the old Stats page! Obviously your aim is to kill our patience too.

Yeah, that new reader sucks too. Should have seen them deep-sixing the old stats page coming…

The devil is taking over. Now anything having ‘my-stats’ in the URL seems being redirected to the ever-redundant ‘upgraded version’.

Really, staff/engineers/developers/testers/motherwhatevers, I wonder how many of you do some real blogging—out of love, that is.

How to find the really old, classic Stats Page:

The really old, classic Stats page with our own color scheme is at this link: https://yourblogname.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=stats (insert your blog’s name before wordpress.com in the link).

This really old Stats Page does not have a map on it. But I prefer it and use this one daily.

It does have Summaries which I also use frequently.

Hi everyone, we appreciate the feedback.

We’re trying to track all of it and that can be a bit tricky with multiple threads, so let’s move the conversation here:
    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/stats-feedback

I’ll go ahead and close this for now, but do know we’ll be reading through this still. Thanks!
