Scheduling a Page

I have created 3 pages and scheduled them using the “Dusk to Dawn” theme. The problem I have found is that I cannot add the pages to the menu because the page isn’t in the “pick list” until the day it is scheduled. How do I schedule 70 pages so that each one loads up daily?

The blog I need help with is inthelightchurch.wordpress.com.

NOTE: Scheduled Posts do not actually publish until the first visitor clicks into the site. That click in triggers publication of the scheduled post.

Posts and Pages are not the same. Pages don’t have RSS feeds only Posts do. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

Frankly it makes no sense to publish 70 pages. Pages are for static content that rarely, if ever, changes. What makes sense is publishing Posts and there is no automatic way to move content from Pages to Posts. It’s a copy and paste job to move the content into posts.

A WordPress blog can either be structured as a page based website or its conventional post based structure can be retained. That’s why understanding the differences between posts and pages, comprehending the SEO implications of creating a page based structure, and knowing how to use custom menus are key to decision making when selecting a theme, and setting up your WordPress.com blog.

So… if I have a Daily “Post” scheduled and no one clicks into the website today – then today’s scheduled post won’t actually publish? If that is the case, then is someone clicks in tomorrow then I presume whatever is scheduled for tomorrow will post?

That’s correct. It’s the first visitor to click in after the scheduled time that triggers the publication of the Post (not Page).

Another thought…. if I add a calendar…do you know of one (e.g. Google) that provides the ability to embed a link? Then the month’s calendar would have the link for each daily’s Bible verse. Read up on Google and it doesn’t appear Google provides the ability to embed links….
