Ever since v2 of the gallery feature came out in July (http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2012/07/12/around-the-carousel-again/), I've been having an issue with the images in my galleries. When I click on a thumbnail and open the carousel, the image description and the area for user comments is below the viewable area. I know the intent is that the user can scroll down and see this information and comment, BUT the scroll bar does not work correctly. In some browsers it's covered by the next image in the carousel, and in all the browsers I've tried, clicking on the scroll bar immediately advances to the next image in the carousel or closes the carousel altogether without any opportunity to actually scroll down. (I can get it to scroll down using two fingers on a trackpad, but not with a more traditional mouse set-up.)
I have tried it in the following browsers, and the scroll bar does not work in any of them:
Firefox 13.0.1/Mac OS 10.5.8 and Firefox14.0.1/Mac OS 10.7.4 and
Firefox 14.0.1/ Windows 7
Safari 6.0.6/Mac OS 10.5.8 and Safari 5.1.7/Mac OS 10.7.4
Chrome 21.0.1180.75/Mac OS 10.7.4
I believe this is a bug, not a setting I need to change, but any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I like the carousel, but this glitch has really reduced the value of galleries for my site.
