Search for Blog: No results

I write my blog called “wetterau.wordpresss.de” for about two months now. My blog is public and I tag each article with “wetterau” (“wetterau” is a region in Germany).

    I have two questions:

    1. When I use wordpress search and enter “wetterau” my blog is not listed — a few others are. Is there anything I missed?

    2. Google lists my blog. When searcing for “boule wickstadt” (which is the topic of one article) I get a google result leading to this list of tags in my article:

    http://wordpress.com/related-tags.php?tag=boule

If I click on “wickstadt” in that list wordpress comes up with a message “Sorry, we don’t have any posts here with that tag. You may want to try one of the sites below.”

Hmm, “wickstadt” is a tag in my article. What’s wrong here?

    Thanks for any help

    Frank

Hard to examine without a live link to your blog:

And WP.com has said they don’t index new blogs, ie connect them with the Global Tag System. Nobody knows how long it takes, but it could be more than that.

    I didn’t know that. Strange …

Not strange: it’s an anti-spammer device, to ensure that you become a regular, long-term contributor. Then you get the payoff. It is totally worth sticking around for, though.

I see your blog here: http://de.wordpress.com/tag/wetterau/

That related-tags link that google has indexed is on the en.wordpress.com site, which is for English blogs.

I don’t think the new blogs thing is relevant here.

@raincoast: I post regularily and for more than two months now. How much time will it take until wordpress uses the tags?
