second banner will not go away, it does not match my purple theme

    Please help. I don’t know how to get it so the second banner (which came with the original banner, it’s orange/yellow) is gone so I can replace it with something purple to match my purple theme.

    The blog I need help with is

    I think you are referring to the design elements below the main menu and the footer inside the Shine On theme. Those elements are part of the built in theme design and the theme doesn’t offer an option to change those out.

    However, changing how a theme’s design looks is something you can do if you have purchased the Custom Design upgrade.

    I checked you’re blog dashboard and I saw that you are already in the Custom Design trial mode but you haven’t yet purchased the upgrade. In that mode, you can try out custom CSS before purchasing. To test it out, go to Appearance > Customize > CSS and add the following example to the editor and it will hide those extra design elements that look similar to the header image that comes with the theme:

    .site-header:after {
    	display: none;
    .site-info {
    	background: none;

    Thanks for the quick reply :) Unfortunately I have since tried what you said would probably work but it didn’t. :(

    I checked Appearance > Customize > CSS in the blog dashboard, and I don’t see the example saved there. Are you sure you entered it correctly?

    Also, I noticed you are in the trial mode for the Custom Design upgrade. That means you can make changes to custom colors, fonts, and CSS but they won’t show up on the front end unless you purchase the Custom Design upgrade. My example was so you could try it out to see if that’s something you might be interested in.

    Hi, just checking back in on — I turned of the Custom Design trial mode for you so you can see what options are available for free.

    If you have any other questions about CSS or how the Custom Design upgrade works, please let me know!
