Secondary pages disappeared
I noticed yesterday that my “secondary” pages have disappeared.
To be specific, I have a page called /reading-list, and then several pages called /reading-list/2007, 2008, etc. However, starting yesterday afternoon, clicking on links or typing in the URL for the secondary pages just loads /reading-list.
I was able to get at the code for /reading-list/2008 by going through Manage>Pages>Edit, but the View link still took me back to /reading-list.
What’s your blog’s url please?
The pages are all visible and the links in the sidebar work. Still having problems?
Yup, they’re still missing.
http://fyreflybooks.wordpress.com/reading-list/ and http://fyreflybooks.wordpress.com/reading-list/2008/ are both loading the same page, but /2008/ should be loading a calendar that looks kind of like
Okay, I changed the page title so the page slug was not just the year, and it seems to be working fine now.
Still strange that it worked for months and then last night decided it didn’t like it.
Seems to be the same issue as in this thread: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=22729&replies=5
Apparently numerical page slugs are not working anymore (?!)
Looks like that’s the issue. Kind of a pain, but good to know it’s not just me and my pages. Thanks!
Oh dear, that’s going to be a big problem. Hope it’s not permanent.
My child pages are also organized by year and listed as such in the page slugs. Thanks to the last URL posted by Isadora, I changed the page slugs from their numerical year to their written form — I don’t like it and I really hope this is temporary (hint, hint)…
