'Sela' Theme does not look like preview/live demo
I REAAALLLY love the look of the ‘Sela’ theme in the preview of it, with the grid pictures, but I’m not sure how to edit on this website or get my theme to look similar (with the exception of my own touches; i.e. different colors). How do I do so? I’m so confused! HELP!
The blog I need help with is sammjadee.wordpress.com.
Themes do take some time to get set up like their demo sites.
If you don’t mind losing the content you’ve published to your site so far, I can import the settings and some content from Sela’s demo site for you to then customise/edit to your liking.
We also have the following guidance for you to get set up on your own:
Sela has a special Front Page Template that you can assign via the editor’s Page Options panel. After you have assigned the page template, you can then add widgets to the front page area of your site.
Let me know if you have questions on the above steps or if you’d like me to import the settings and content from the demo site to your own (remember that this will clear your site of all existing content).
This helped TREMENDOUSLY! Thank you so much!
Now, when I click the ‘Home’ button on my site, it says “oops there’s an error” and won’t redirect to my home page. Also, I can’t get any other pages to show up on my site. What did I do wrong? Or how can I fix that?
Did you get the issues with the links in your menu sorted? I’m now directed to your Home page when clicking that link and can also see other pages listed in your menu.
If you’d like to further edit your menu, we have some guidance and a video walkthrough available here:
Let me know how you get on!
