I want to put All in One SEO Pack plug-in on my blog (newsdalbasso.wordpress.com), so I can add title, description and key words to every post I write. If it’s not possible I would like to learn how to put the right information in the right place inside my blog, so that, even without a SEO plug-in, people from google (or from whatever search engine) can reach my articles.

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is newsdalbasso.wordpress.com.

No it’s not possible nor is it even necessary as all WordPress.com themes have good SEO.

There is no FTP access to our free hosted WorPress.com blogs and we bloggers can’t install plugins for security reasons. http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/ Also note that there is no upgrade you can purchase that allows FTP access and the ability to install plugins. Only those with WordPress.org installs can use plugins http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you want plugins then you need to hire a web host, set up an install from WordPress.org, install a theme and plugins into it, export your content out of the WordPress.com blog, and import it into the WordPress.org install.

If it’s not possible I would like to learn how to … so people from google (or from whatever search engine) can reach my articles.

We bloggers cannot access metadata and insert keywords however, that matters little given that these days search engines are focused on keywords in your content and not in your tags. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/03/01/revisiting-keywords-and-tags/

These 5 videos introduce how Google discovers, crawls, indexes your site’s pages, and how Google displays them in search results. It also touches lightly upon challenges webmasters and search engines face, such as duplicate content http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/03/22/5google-webmasters-video-tutorials/

If you are using a WordPress.com theme good SEO is a given. However, going beyond the theme what the blogger has done within that structure is worth evaluating. Whether you write informative, persuasive or controversial content learning how search engines work, and how to apply basic SEO to you content will benefit your blog as it will increase traffic from targeted readers. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/10/21/two-seo-videos-for-bloggers/

I really thank you for the information you gave me.
I will think about moving from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. In the meantime I’ll have a look to those videos and learn more about creating a community of readers.
    Thanks!

I have a WordPress.ORG blog and was using the All in One SEO plugin. It was so bad, I disconnected it and my hits TRIPLED. If you are looking to move just so you can use this, don’t. SEO is better here.
