    Alright, so I have been tasked with setting up a website for my company. In the past I have used to do this. For the sub-division company they are wanting to go a different route in order to get new and different features from the previous site I built. I needed a site that allows for a large datebase and a search feature, which from what I undestand, allows.

    I have added the domain we own to this site. But I am not sure where to go from here. Do I need to purchase anything in order to begin creating and editing the site? And if so, what package? Or is it possible to create the site first and then purchase everything before publishing?

    In a nutshell there is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install plugins, upload third-party themes, or edit templates or themes.

    There is no upgrade that you can purchase from that provides FTP access, plugins, uploading third-party themes, or editing templates or themes. For those you will have to hire a web host and set up a self hosted install.


    Alright, so I won’t lie, I am not that familiar with web chat. I have no idea what FTP means.

    I am not sure what to do from here. I am trying to set up a site that is similar to Urbanspoon, or another variation of that. Any suggestions?
