I connected my Face Book account to share my post and they are not appearing on any of my social media sites. How long does it take to share on Twitter, Facebook and Google?
The blog I need help with is iyanaleach27.wordpress.com.
I can see that you’ve added the social sharing buttons, but adding these only allows people reading your blog to click on them to share with their network.
If you want to automatically share your posts to Facebook/Twitter/etc, you could use the website If This Than That.
Specifically, have a look at the ‘recipes’ as they’re called, for WordPress.
I’ve never set up one of these so I can’t guide you further once you’re there.
Metaphysical Minister sounds like the coolest thing,
Thank you so much. I tried the website you provided. Still no luck. I thought on WordPress I can just hit the share tab and it will share my blog?
Is there some thing I am missing?
Actually, looks like I should have directed you to this page instead!
Hadn’t noticed that before! Or do you mean that you have already connected this up and your posts still don’t show?
Yes. I did everything that was instructed in the video and my post still aren’t sharing on face Book, Twitter nor Goggle +.
This thread has some troubleshooting steps from the invaluable timethief:
Perhaps the reconnecting steps listed here would be a first thing to try?
Thank you. I tried all of the suggestions non of them worked. I am so bummed out about this. I thought this should be an easy thing to do just hit the share button. I may have to use another webiste as there no customer service phone number to help trouble shoot.
I really appreciate your assistance.
Skeptical is retired theme. Themes are retired when they no longer support all wordpress.COM features. The recommendation is to switch themes. Please try that.
Switching themes can be easily done, provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the site. Themes are just “skins” on WordPress.COM hosted blogs. You can quickly and easily change themes on any WordPress.COM hosted blog to another one found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and no data will be lost or negatively affected by the change. The only time you may have to do a lot of work is if you are changing to a dramatically different theme with different features and/or if you have done any CSS editing.
Provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the blog go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes, Browse themes until you find one you like and click the “activate” or the “preview” link, or type in the name of the theme you want to use when it appears.
The theme customizer https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/ provides a preview function for exactly that purpose ie. so you can view what a theme will appear like prior to changing one.
If you do not succeed using these instructions https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/publicize-not-working-4?replies=24 after switching themes and publishing a post, then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Please also subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond and be patient while waiting. There is no phone support. See here for all the support options when you have wordpress.COM technical support issues see https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/
Those who have a paid upgrade for a wordpress.COM site can use the “Contact Support” form, http://support.wordpress.com/contact/ where they will receive a choice of having staff answer your question publicly or privately.
The best WordPress.COM contact form to use now for Staff assistance is:
Live chat will be available there if we have Happiness Engineers available to chat. When they are not available using that link results in posting to this peer support forum. https://en.support.wordpress.com/live-chat/
re: direct email support
Also note, that you can email WordPress.COM Staff at:
However, as I tagged this thread for Staff you need not contact them by any other means.
Thanks. I have been trying to share my blog since 7:30 am central time. I followed all the instructions and reconnected several times. This really may be the WordPress website issue.
On other websites that I patronize I usually just hit a share button and it works like magic…why so much complexity with this one?
Anyway I will chose another space, thought did like this one.
I see that your blog is successfully connected to your Facebook account at the moment. What was the last post you attempted while connected? I would love to look into this issue for you. It usually isn’t a big hassle to connect and publicize your posts to your social media sites.
Let me know, thanks!
The most recent post was Soul Excavation I just wrote the blog today.
Hmmm..everything looks okay. If you can let me know the next time you’re about to post, I would like to take a look and see if there is anything abnormal with Publicize. But, it should work fine from what I see.
