I would like only “Uncategorized” posts to show on base url and have posts for another category to only show on that cats page when cat link is activated.

    Can I? – How?

The blog I need help with is

Your main or “front” page on always shows all of the posts made to your blog.

I’m afraid it’s not possible to change this behavior on

Thank you for your prompt help.

I am not The expert nor an expert but I think that you could make something very close to what you want using the “Custom menu widget” when you can design your menu as you want and mix static pages and category pages where you will see all the posts of that same category. This added to the fact that you can choose the “all post” page ( it might not be the home page)…. I think that we are not far from what you wanted.

Look at which explains the process.

If this question is in refernce to the site linked to your username then it’s not a wordpress.COM blog and are posting to the wrong support forum. On this forum we provide support only to those who are asking about free blogs from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM. The correct forum for those with wordpress.ORG install is here > http://wordpress.ORG/support/ If you aren’t clear on the differences between wordpress.COM free hosted blogs and wordpress.ORG installs the sticky post at the head of this forum explains them. >

If you are referring to a free blog from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM then please know this. We can post to only ONE page in a blog. However, by choosing to use themes that have the custom menu feature and by assigning categories to our posts we can create the APPEARANCE that we are posting to more than one page.

This is possible because whenever we publish a post and assign categories and/or tags to it the post will appear in the categories pages and in the archives.

Since this feature is so new, not all themes support it yet. You can find themes that support menus in Appearance -> Themes by choosing “Custom Menu” from the Feature Filters menu.

Currently, the following themes have this feature enabled: Twenty Ten, Structure, Vostok, Bueno, Enterprise, Notepad, Paperpunch, MistyLook, Under the Influence, Vigilance, Greyzed, Wu Wei, Blix, Cutline, Freshy, Contempt, Ambiru, Digg3, Koi and Modularity Lite.
