Showing my blog on another website with HTML?

  1. I have a website with I'd like one of my pages to have my wordpress blog posts on it without having to redirect visitors away from my website to the wordpress site.

Is there an HTML code somewhere that can be used to post the content I put on wordpress to another website? (much like twitter or facebook allows)

The blog I need help with is

  2. No there is not. However, you know what the blog URL is so you can post it on your website. If your website can draw from RSS feed then this is your RSS Feed URL for posts (entries)

If your website is NOT equipped to draw from RSS feeds then do be aware we do not provide support for that. We support only wordpress.COM free hosted blogs here.

You will have to write something in PHP or javascript to do that. Here are a couple options:

  3. I'd like one of my pages to have my wordpress blog posts on it without having to redirect visitors away from my website to the wordpress site.

I hope you are clear in the fact that only posts not pages have RSS Feeds. Pages are static and are for content that rarely changes. They sit outside of the blog structure and you cannot post to multiple pages in any blog. There is only one main page for posts in a blog and all posts will display on the main blog page. There is no way to exclude posts from the main posts (blog) page.

The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page "Welcome" for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.
    Choice 1 static front page
Choice 2 running page for all posts on front page
Which do you choose? It’s one or the other.
If you choose a static front page then you have to create two pages as I said above. After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

  4. Lastly, you have deleted the Hello World placeholder post on you blog and that created a 404 page not found error on the front page. Be aware that the error message will disappear as soon as you publish a post, not a page.

  5. I am unfamiliar with RSS feeds. This is something that Breezi has, though.

Basically, I want to connect the two. When I post something on facebook or twitter, it shows up on my website without having to redirect my visitors to facebook or twitter. I want the same thing to happen with wordpress.

When I post something on wordpress, I want the visitor to be able to see the post's content without having to actually go to wordpress.

  6. There is no autoposting app you can use. Did you read what I posted above? And are you aware of what Google thinks of duplicating content across domains and the effect doing that has on SEO? Google's Panda algorithm is for detecting duplicate content and it works like a hot damn. I'm so happy it does because I research and write for a living and it pisses me right off when I see duplicated content coming back in search results. millions of us complained and reported such goings on for years and Google heard us - Alleluia!

  7. I did not see all your responses, no... You've left so many and I am not a web designer/seo expert. I would rather not duplicate anything, I just want to keep people on my site without having to send them to 30 other places.

You don't have to be so patronizing...

  8. I read that website you linked. If you had read my post, you would understand that I am not trying to be deceptive in any way. I simply wish to have my blog posts show up on my personal website without having to use their offered blog app. I don't see how that's a bad thing considering twitter and facebook link, wordpress and facebook link, twitter and facebook both link to my site. Why can't wordpress?

If it's such a major problem, I will look elsewhere. Jeez.

  9. You need to get help from where you want your content to appear - @TT has explained what is sent out - but she also noted that we don't help with any sites other than the blogs hosted here on WordPress.COM - there are literally millions of other sites out there - for anyone here to be familiar with all of them and the options is not realistic - or to spend the time and effort to research every one of them is not realistic

Ask for help at your other site

  10. I'm not a web developer or an SEO expert or a rocket scientist either. We are all drowning in a sea of duplicated content being auto-posted to across multiple domains and links to it being auto-posted to social networks day in and day out. In July LinkedIn and Twitter, announced an end to their partnership that allowed users to sync updates from the two sites. Also note Google plus does not provide an app for auto-posting. Don't follow the other lemmings over the cliff and into the sea. Create unique content and focus on community building on your blog and I wager you will be successful -- just wait and see.
