Sidebar Blues

  1. I'm trying to follow directions, but my pic still isn't showing in the sidebar. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong here?

    Here's what I have in the text widget: (I've tried a few things and may have removed something important here in my experimenting. I'm not a huge bonehead - just a medium size bone head.)

    <div align="center"> </div>

    Any help would be appreciated from you wordpress rock star bloggers...

  2. Wait, why didn't my code just show up in that comment? I swear I added the code up there. May need to start shopping for a large bonehead caps soon....

    Let me try this again:

    <div align="center"> <a
    href=''> </div>

  3. Your code won't show up properly unless you use backticks. Put the code in between two backticks, backticks being the little marks just below the ~ in your keyboard.

    When I'm trying to centre and suchlike, I just compose in teh visual editor as if it were a post I was writing with a pic in it. Once it's just as I want it I click over to the Code editor and copy all the code. Then I place THAT in a text widget.

  4. I don't see this on your blog either.

  5. here's what your code should be:

    <p align="center">
    <a href=""><img src=""></a></p>

    This makes it clickable to the picture, too. If you just want the pic, leave out the 'a href' section

  6. The image links to itself? I don't think so.

    Let's wait for the poster to reply.

  7. I don't think so.

    well, i do, and badapple was only missing the <img src="> part of the code.

    Sorry for trying to help.

  8. That's fine. We're making too many guesses around here and that really needs to stop. Let's wait for the poster to replay so we can help them. :)

  9. Thank you, thank you. I was able to just now use the first suggestion to cut and paste from the Code editor. That worked nicely.

    Thanks again, this is extremely helpful.
