Can you help with my sidebar issue, at all?
I’m not a bot but as I have answered the same questions for over 8 years I use copy and paste answers.
Not every theme is designed to have a sidebar display on every page in the blog. I suggest you consult the detailed theme description here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/chunk/and the live demo site here http://chunkdemo.wordpress.com/ Chunk has footer widgets – no sidebar.
There are 118 free Two Columns ( 1 for posting and 1sidebar) WordPress Themes http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/two-columns/?sort=free you can switch to using.
You can quickly and easily change themes to another one found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and no data will be lost or negatively affected by the change. The only time you may have to do some work is if you are changing to a dramatically different theme and have done any CSS editing.
Provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the blog go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes and browse themes until you find one you like and click “activate” or type in the name of the theme you want to use and
click the “activate” link when it appears.
After you change your theme all you need to do is go here Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets and re-install them where you want them to appear. The widget contents and settings will be the same as they were prior to changing themes.
Perfect and thank you!
You’re welcome and best wishes with your blog.
Quick question on my Twitter widget, I have added it and created, cut and pasted the information I needed from Twitter, but can’t see my feed. Any suggestions?
All widget data is cached. Twitter is a third party site and it takes time for the data to update.
Did you use the old outdated Twitter widget? Or did you use the Twitter timeline widget that replaces it? http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/twitter-timeline-widget/
Did you enter the correct Twitter URL? What is it please?
It looks like the widget I used, I went to customize/widget and picked the twitter widget.
this is what Twitter told me to cut and paste, however when I do that, the save button on WordPress does not activate..
