I’d like my site title to link to my main website rather than my blog’s home page, if I can. The HTML code for the link is in the site-title class. From looking at the code, though, I don’t see any obvious way of changing it. Is it possible to change the hyperlink of the site title through CSS, or is that only possible through HTML? If it’s possible, how would I code it?
It is not possible to change the main title link. This is part of the underlying theme and CSS only changes the layout and styling. However depending on the theme you are using you could insert an external link into a custom menu. Your blog is set to private so I can’t tell if that would work with the theme you’re using.
That’s what I thought. I have a test blog that’s set to private, and for some reason that’s the one that my name is linking to. My real blog is blog.karenjoslin.net. I have a link to my website on my sidebar navigation, but I’ll check out the menu option. It looks like I can do that in Bueno.
I like the way you have it set up now. One alternative would be to add a text widget to your sidebar containing a link to your other site and then use CSS to hide the original site title link then replace and re-style it with the custom one.
