Songkick Widget integration

    Hello,
I’m having trouble linking my Songkick account (for tour dates) to my wordpress.com site. The html widget Songkick provides gets shortened when I try to post it anywhere on my site.
    The following happens:
    I enter this code
    Tour dates
    <script src=”//widget.songkick.com/widget.js”></script>

After publishing it, the same html ends up looking like this:

    Tour dates

On the user end, instead of widget, I get a hyperlink reading “Tour Dates”.
Can anyone help me with that please?
I’d be very happy to learn of any solution you might have to this problem.
    Thanks a lot!

The blog I need help with is psychoandplastic.com.

Sorry, that went the wrong way … it’S the first time I’m doing this.

The original html I’m trying to integrate is:

    <a href="http://www.songkick.com/artists/4789083" class="songkick-widget" data-theme="light">Tour dates</a>
    <script src="//widget.songkick.com/widget.js"></script>

    What I get is:
    <a href="http://www.songkick.com/artists/4789083" class="songkick-widget">Tour dates</a>

    Hope that worked!

The software here will strip all blogger posted JavaScript codes out for security reasons as this is a multiuser blogging platform.

Thanks for clearing that up for me! So in other words, there’s no way I can accomplish that?

There is no way you can use THAT code. I’d suggest instead you use a Google calendar and put it on its own page. You can even use an RSS widget in the sidebar to display upcoming dates.

Thanks! I’ll look into the RSS idea. Unless I missed something, Google calendar is not really what I’m after, visually.
