Sorry, that site is reserved!
What exactly does ‘site is reserved’ mean? I have been using a specific username for all my social media accounts and other accounts. It’s a shortened version of my name, and it’s practically unique bec. we’re a pretty small clan. I want to update my WordPress blog URL with that username/shortened version of my name, and was advised that the site is reserved? It bothers me that someone or WordPress reserved that specific URL which is ‘my name’ for what? And I want to know how I can secure it for my use.
The blog I need help with is theangeli.wordpress.com.
When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.
If and only if you have registered the matching username account log out, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies. Then log in under the correct username account and as the blog is reserved for you and you will register it after logging in under the correct username account.
However, if you changed your username then the blog URL will not be available for use under the new username account.
This profile was registered 2 years ago https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/theangelis and it is the match for the URL https://theangeli.wordpress.com/
