I have been following recent discussions re: spam referrers, and also have been sending in lists of offenders as per request by Staff. I know that Staff is addressing the situation, and appreciate their efforts. However, I still have no clear sense of what the process involves. Is it the flick of a switch, a few new lines of code, a massive overhaul, forays into high-tech black holes?Can someone offer up an explanation that the average WPer might understand? It would help me know whether I should remain patient for hours or days or longer while Support Staff work on the issue. Meanwhile, I feel like all I can do is wash my cyber-hands over and over and sigh deeply while the nasty buggers continue.
