I'm getting an exorbitantly large number of site views--like 100-200 when I normally receive 5-20 daily--and I'm wondering if there is such a thing as spam site views. I will get them for 2-3 days straight and then it will go back to normal. Anyone else having this problem? Is there a way to track who is looking at my site to see if there is some security concern I should know about? FYI: I'm a general user. I don't pay for my account. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This is the forum for those who have free blogs from wordpress.com that are also free hosted by wordpress.com. All of our blogs are equipped with Akismet and it does an excellent job of catching spam for us so it doesn't get posted to our blogs. :)
My experience is that the volume of spam directed at my blogs always increases on weekends. And as we are talking about spam that has already been caught by Akismet I don't worry about it.
@aliciavonde I recommend you contact staff directly with this matter so they can look further into the matter for you http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ I will also modlook the thread for you.
@TT I have also been noticing spam referrals in in my stat sections also but I've noticed that these sites have no article link nor blog roll linking back to my site as well as no relation with the niche I write about.I seen an thread on this a while back but can't seem to find it now staff back then was working on the issue and from what I read it seemed they pretty much had it taken care of. But it seems the issue is starting to show it's self again.
