I was wanting to delete this profile and start a new one- any suggestions?
That’s a great username. It’s so distinctive and if I were you I would register the matching blog URL.
http://indigenousdreamer.wordpress.com/can only be registered by the matching username account that it is reserved for and you have that account.
When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.
As you have registered the matching username account the blog is reserved for you and you can register it

If you insist you can change your username but I do not recommend doing so. Read both of these carefully first:
