My stats i.e views and visitors are stuck. I know Im getting more views than what it’s saying, is anyone elses stuck??

The blog I need help with is

Member stats are not real time stats. They are cached and take time to update. Also note that likes and shares are not linked to page views. In fact, likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a blog who is logged into can “like” and “share” your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat. See here for what I do to compel readers to read posts on my site >

Thanks timethief, it’s just yeaterday and the day before they were contantly moving/changing now for the past 12 hours they are just doing nothing even thought the refferers and country views are way higher than what the visits are showing?

I tagged this thread for Staff to take a quick peek at your stats. If you subscribe you will be notified when they respond.

Thanks very much timethief :) x

    You’re welcome.

I’m having the same problem glitterwishes. I’ve had 6 visitors all day according to my stats yet I’ve had visits from 13 different countries – that math doesn’t add up lol I understand that the stats are not real time stats, but this is the worst I’ve seen the stat page work in weeks – it prob. has something to do with the new feature of views and visitors.

Yeh im hoping its just a temporary problem coz it was deffo working yesterday, glad Im not the only one though like you the math just isnt adding up

You want help and it’s important to provide what’s needed to get it. Please be aware that you have no blog linked to your username and have not posted a URL for the blog in question.

my blog name is the name im posting with, – I thought it would come up when I post on the forum. I’ve only been back with WordPress for a little less than a month now, still learning the basics. I’ve noticed quite a few people having the same issues
(edited by Tess to make the link more useful by being clickable.)

    Hi there,

Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary blog and then save changes. Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

My visits have been stuck at 42 for hours. At the same time, the views counter has climbed from under 100 to over 400. This is consistent with views over the past year.

I post a daily blog & today’s post currently has 81 views – or nearly 2 views per visit. I find that hard to believe. There appears to be a problem with the visit counter.

hello Timethief, I have the same thing happening.
My visitors counter stopped on both my blogs this morning – at the same time as the mayan calender – while the views kept climbing! (to the highest ever, on my primary blog). Definitely a glitch somewhere.

Thanks for posting here. zandyring (Staff) has transmitted the reports in another thread to the correct Staff members for addressing and correcting this.

What is the difference between visitors and views. I had 2 visitors today, 11 views, 8 from the US, 2 from Canada, and 1 from Hong Kong. That seems to indicate I would have had 3 visitors.

The blog I need help with is

The math is indeed off. According to stats I’ve had 1053 pageviews today, but only 98 visitors. I find it highly unlikely, when my daily average is north of 700, although it’s flattering to think they are all reading ten pages each.

Just to say that my yesterday’s visitor/view ratio has at last adjusted from 81/509 to 135/509 – since midnight, that is. The visit count is moving normally this morning, and the other blog is moving in the right way also.

I did notice a while back, that the number of views from countries is often much less than the post-views beside it, particularly on a busy day.
    Why is this?
I appreciate all your help and community.

Still isn’t working right for me? :(

This thread is still tagged for Staff but there are others who posted before you did so please be patient while waiting.
