Stats details not showing

  1. When I click on the daily bar in the stats graphic for, it's taking me to a small screen shot of the bar graph instead of the detailed breakdown of daily statistics. Did I miss a change, or how do I get to see the daily breakdown?

The blog I need help with is

  2. I'm experiencing the same problem.

  3. Same here.... it happened a few days ago, then it came back to normal. Today it's been "acting up" since i first checked early this morning

  4. I've been having the same was "fixed" a few days ago, but now it's happening again.

  5. Also experiencing the same issue. My blog is here.

  6. It appears that Staff may be working on the Stats at this time. I have flagged this thread for Staff attention. What I suggest is practicing patience and focusing on other tasks for awhile.

  7. Thanks, #timethief. not a huge deal, was just wondering if I missed a change.

I'm wondering if, after months of saying Stats would no longer be available on the dashboard, WordPress has finally made the switch.

For those who want Stats, just go to the W logo on the upper left corner of the Dashboard page, hit it for the menu and click on Stats. The "new" stats page comes up just fine. My guess is that this is what the new world is going to look like.

  9. I think you may be right about the move. My stats are on the home page and have 0 bar graphs displaying. :(

  10. Wait! I just clicked "Days" and then "Weeks" and "Months" and I have bar graphs displaying now.

  11. kevinfromcanada

Timethief: All my graphs come up fine when I go through the WordPress menu. I have no idea why they sent us that way, but once you figure your way through, the data is just fine -- in fact, the addition of maps actually means an improvement if you care about that. Like any change, it may take a while to adapt a new routine, but nothing has been subtracted.

  12. Hmmm .. you mentioned map and I went back to my stats and tried to click to enable views by country which I disabled long ago. Clicking the link did not work for me using Firefox 13. :(

  13. kevinfromcanada

My maps are working just fine (and getting updated quickly) -- but I never disabled them.

On the other hand, Totallers, Followers, and Shares has been closed without any input on my part and I can't reopen it.

All of which suggests that someone is working on the Stats page. WordPress has a bad habit of going live with changes before they have sorted out all the aspects -- which is what I suspect is at play here.

  14. Thanks, indeed the stats are in a different place now, and I guess we'll have to get used to it.

Glad I searched the support forum, it was driving me nuts!

  15. I cannot see my stats either from my dashboard, nor on WP.. There is a tab to click for stats, but nothing happens. The ~WP logo in my header bar is completely useless. How do I get my stats back?

  16. Alrighty, thanks everyone, it's like @kevinfromcanada said; tab on the upper-ler "W" and hit stats. The map IS pretty cool. I guess you just can't link directly from the dashboard stat field anymore. No big deal, to me.

  17. Sorry for the trouble, we're looking into it!

  18. thirtyfourflavours

let us know when this gets updated please...macmanx.

  19. I sure will.

  20. I can get to the "bar graph" in the old stats area, but clicking on the bars doesn't bring up their corresponding pages; it just ignores the clicks. In the new stats area, the bar graph does not show up. I went to Weeks, and then back to Days, ad then DID get the bars... but clicking on them to view the daily stats takes me to "Page Not Found."

  21. This should be all fixed up now.

If you're still having trouble, please tell us exactly what you're having trouble with, and please tell us your browser and what version it is.

  22. I still have the same problem as the one bobberwyn originally posted about: clicking the bar graph on the dashboard will only take me to a screenshot of the traffic bar graph (which responds to my mouse's hovering over it) but clicking this new graph again does nothing. I am on Chrome 20.0.1132.47 m.

I'm still not able to view my stats! I did a "view source" of the blank page showing just the daily graphical bar chart... Because it starts with a spinning W (WordPress logo, classic-64.gif) and then, shows just the graphical bar chart.

Next, it does a jQuery to flot-stats-data.php, which shows nothing but the chart, itself.

The rest of the page is blank, as if some code was rewritten.

The problem replicates in Linux and Windows XP via Chrome & Chromium, and shows the same in Android's browser. Was WordPress hacked into?

  24. Thanks for confirming, we're still looking into this!

We weren't hacked, just some upgrades that went wrong somewhere. It happens from time to time.

  25. I'm using Safari 5.0.6. Currently, the old stats are working, although slowly, and the new stats are still the same:

In the new stats area, the bar graph does not show up. I went to Weeks, and then back to Days, and then DID get the bars... but clicking on them to view the daily stats takes me to "Page Not Found."

  26. Safari 5.0.6 is a bit out of date. Are you able to upgrade to the current release, 5.1.7?

It won't fix the current issue, that's on our end, but new browser versions always include important security and bug fixes.

  27. Safari 5.0.6 is the highest upgrade there is, or will ever be, for non-Intel Macs, which is what I have; I can't ever go any higher. :-(

  28. I'm having all kinds of issues in the dashboard now, using Firefox 13.01. Post edits are SLOW to load, I can't upload photos, it won't let me schedule posts ... but I did figure out how to see daily stats.

  29. formerheathen, not a problem, I understand.

bobberwyn, if you're having issues separate from the stats issue covered in this thread, please start a separate thread.

  30. Thanks macmanx. Everything is working great now.
