Stats – down or personal blog issue?

    Are Stats down? or did I inadvertently change how my stats are recorded? I’ve had no recorded views since May 27, but I know I have had hits to the site, as a friend just responded on FB to a blog they would have had to have come to my site to see as they are not ‘followers’ receiving it via email. Help please!

    Hi there,
    Stats are working on my blog. There are several different ways that readers can start following your blog.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/followers/

    • A follower can click the “like” button without visiting your blog and creating a page view stat.
    • A follower can click the “like” button when viewing your posts in the Readomatic reader on the home page of WordPress.com
    • A follower can click the “like” button when viewing your posts on the Topics pages.
    • A follower can click the “like” button when viewing your posts when using an app.

      • An email subscriber can click the “like” button in the email they receive of your new posts without visiting your blog.

    • To compel readers to click into my blog to read the full post I have set my RSS Feed to “summary” on this page > Settings > Reading

    Hi abigailofblackberrycottage,

    timethief’s answer was right on the ball, as to why some of your followers may not show up on the stats.

    I’ve just double checked your stats and it seems you legitimately didn’t have any direct page views on May 27, 28, and 29. If you look at today, there were some page views, however.

    Hope that helps and please let us know if there’s anything else we can do
