Stats not

  1. Hi,

I have been using wordpress for about a week now and the stats feature is not recording anything. I know people are visiting the site as there have been comments left for me. Did I not active something? I'm at a lost and very inexperienced with wordpress. Not sure how to get it to work.

The blog I need help with is

  2. The blog you specified at does not appear to be hosted at

This support forum is for hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the forums, not here.

If you don't understand the difference, you may find this information helpful.

  3. We seem to be having the same problem!

Website is: (self-hosted of course). I know we are getting hits since i have other tracking tools in place, however nothing ever shows up on the Stat Plugin (which shows up under the Dashboard) and eventhough I plugged in my API key which works fine cause it's assigned to my blog. The settings says the Stat Plugin is installed properly and working fine - however all stats are 0!

Wondering what's wrong?? Any help would be appreciated!

  4. Same here. My stats have not moved for hours. I'm not really worried about it because this has happened before and WordPress has never lost anything, to my knowledge.

    Still, it's a bit frustrating.

  5. @dapstar - Please read the staff response directly above your post.

My stats have disappeared completely at that is, the site has stopped recording visitors.

The glitch may result from the technical problems the WP staff described above, so I am posting this only so that the staff and other users will have an record of which sites are affected.

  7. I'm relatively sure it's going to be ALL blogs over this weekend. Just add to this existing, sticky thread on the stats issue:

Thanks, raincoaster. Again, the stats are not fluctuating. They are vanishing. I get very consistent traffic and now have 20 percent of what I would normally have at this time on a Friday night in May.

  9. Yes, the staff are obviously working on the stats and it's probably going to get worse before it gets better. There are a few threads on it today. I'm assuming it's all still the same meta-problem, but that is an assumption on my part.

Staff don't typically check threads to see who's affected; they check trouble reports, which you'd make by using Contact Support.
