Stats of Blogs and Their Users
Do blog stats include hits on the blog made by the admin and authors/editors as well as the followers? I’d like to know if our stats are accurate of the “other” people who have visited the blog, or if it reflects how much we read our own blog.
The blog I need help with is recallandrelay.wordpress.com.
Hmmm … I wonder if you are referring to a public blog or a private blog and whether or not the parties you refer to are logged in. Please see this section of support documentation which aconteins the answer to your question. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/
Also note that our stats are “page view” stats. They are not counting indivduals. Theay are recording page views. So lete me expalin it this way. I click into your blog on the forn page (1 page view stat) and then I click into a post (1 page view stat). I decide to read another post (1 more page view stat) and then I exit). One individual = 3 page view stats.
I’m sorry for posting 3 comments but I’m having issue at this end with my computer. When any official user of a public blog (admin, authors) are logged in their page views are are not reflected in the stats. If they visit the blog when they are logged out then the page views are recorded. On pirvate blogs which can be viewed only by users chosen by the administrator, the page views of all of their users are tracked and recorded. http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2011/08/18/watch-your-traffic-grow-with-sparklines/
Thanks again, timethief. I guess I missed the crucial part of the stats page on support. :P
