Still Can't Embed Youtube

  1. I know a lot of people have been having problems with embeding youtube videos, but none of the solutions are working for me. There is just nothing in my published post where I paste in the code. Am I still doing something wrong? or is there a solution out there that will work for me?

The blog I need help with is

  2. I have no trouble at all embedding youtubes using the instructions provided in support documentation. Are those the instructions you are following or not? To quickly embed a YouTube video, simply copy the video’s URL from your web browser’s address bar while viewing the video:

  3. Quick question, can we hide the controls bar at the bottom?

  4. No.

  5. still got nothing

  6. Please post the link to the youtube in question and we will help you.

  8. Still nothing shows up.

  9. Well then I can't fathom why that is. The video is running on my test blog. I like ukelele music BTW.

Here’s the link for Staff After you use the searchbox at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

  10. OOPS! Sorry about that I left a strong tag open. :(

  11. Well, you can try it this way: Go to the video on youtube, click share, click embed, copy it, go to your post on here and paste in the box. It works that way for me. Press preview to make sure the video is there. I hope this helps you.

  12. Oh, but that's what I was doing in the first place. It didn't work even when I used the old embed code.
Timethief, it is very fun isn't it? Thanks for trying though.

  13. @lyrikh
You're welcome and not to worry as Staff will help you. :)

  14. May I ask a followup? How can I edit the size of the video? I'm using the embed code in HTML and adjust the parameters in that, but it just reverts to your short code, which is full size.

  15. I searched and found the answer for you> You can change the width of youtube videos by editing the shortcode that is inserted into the post. Please see here >

  16. Thank you! I did a quick search and didn't find exactly what I was looking for. Thanks very much!

  17. You're welcome. :)
