Structure theme: Large featured image issue
Fortunately, after hours upon hours of trying to figure out this one little issue I was having last night with my theme I finally stumbled upon this forum today. My website, for reference, is http://dtfmusic.wordpress.com. The issue I am having is that in the Structure theme there is a large space on the left hand side that allows for a larger featured image (as can be seen here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/structure/ [the red room]). I have this theme for the most part figured out but I can not figure out how to set an image to take up that large featured image space left of the ‘right widget’ area.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The blog I need help with is dtfmusic.wordpress.com.
It should be displaying the featured image from the most recent post.
Thank you for your quick response! I just posted a new post and made sure to set a featured image for the post, but unfortunately still no dice.
Here is a reference page in which she was able to get her featured image to remain stationary in the big box area. She used the same theme http://brazzabelle.wordpress.com
I apologize for the confusion. At Appearance -> Theme Options, you’ll be able to select a Featured Category. It’s the featured image from the latest post in this category that will be displayed.
Awesome! I just got it working.
I really appreciate the help!!!
I have a follow-up questions for the large featured photo:
I can’t seem to make the featured photo stay static. Whenever I use pick a featured photo for a post, it shows the picture twice: both in the featured photo area and in the post below it. Is there a way to make it so that it only appears once?

That’s the way the theme works. You can’t get rid of the redundancy unless you have the paid CSS upgrade.
