Subdomain (blog) mapping to custom domain

    Not only is the new subdomain I purchased last name not mapping correctly, but the subdomain in the browser reads like this:
    I can’t have that as my blog address! is that what my viewers will see? Why does it say “dot” instead of [.]?

    I was hoping that my blogger blog would redirect to this subdomain UNDER and connected to my main website But it isn’t redirecting to it, but to my custom domain, so i keep un-redirecting it until i learn how to do this right. i’ve read the instructions on domains a million times – not sure what i’ve done incorrectly, tho.
    perhaps my hope isn’t realistic – to have a home/ static website, and under that, a BLOG that is at the subdomain, not really an entirely dif. site.thx
