Hello. I have gone through the various posts on relating to this issue but could not find a suitable solution. Maybe if someone can reply on this or tell me the link where I could find this.

I have the blog at and domain at
    I can create a subdomain
Would it be possible for me to get into as redirect or mapping?

The dashboard setting page says to “add domain to blog”. If I add – would that mean I would get it on

I can add subdomain to my domain, and also can add cname etc through the domain management interface.

The blog I need help with is

I think the answer is here:

I would say: the steps would be:
    1) Add subdomain to your domain eg.
    2) Then DNS CNAME in ones domain setup as
    3) Then add in the setting page relating to domain in the wordpress blog.

Please tell me whether this is the procedure? This is what I get from the below quoted text at

Q: I own, and want to map a subdomain of that to my blog. Is that possible?
A: Yes. You will need to add a DNS CNAME at your DNS provider before the domain mapping will work. You should not change your nameserver information if you just want to map a subdomain. The CNAME should look something like the following: IN CNAME [your-blog]

Once that DNS entry has been added login to your Dashboard, click on Settings -> Domains and enter into the box. If everything is setup correctly, it will allow you to map the subdomain to your blog. If things are not quite right the system will let you know and provide suggestions on what you need to do to remedy the problem.
Note: You cannot map only the “www” subdomain since we remove the www from all the URLs at

Please tell me – if what I am trying to do is paid addon?

Yes, it is. You would have to contact staff to double-check that you could use the subdomain you want, and it’s best to do this before purchasing the domain upgrade.
