I am noticing a trend and would like to change the trend. Approximately a week or so ago I subscribed to my blog by accident. I have noticed that once I subscribed to my own blog, I stopped receiving notifications from Feed burner when I published new articles / posts.
I would like to unsubscribe from my WordPress.com blog and continue to receive notifications from Feed burner — as all of my subscriptions — people who subscribe to Second Chance to Live go through Feed burner.
With this being said, how do I unsubscribe to Second Chance to Live so that I once again begin receiving email notifications from Feed burner.
Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.
The blog I need help with is secondchancetolive.wordpress.com.
Every email sent out with a post has an unsubscribe link in it.
I will admit, however, that I am not sure how being subscribed to one would cause the other to fail.
You can unsubscribe following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/subscriptions/#unsubscribing-from-a-blog
With that said, Feedburner is a third-party service, and subscribing via WordPress.com would have no impact on your Feedburner subscription. There must be something else going on in this case, and I recommend contacting Feedburner about it.
Thank you Jennifer. I do not understand why my feed burner subscriptions stopped around the time that I subscribed — in advertently — to my own blog. I have just noticed that I have not been receiving articles from Feed burner — when I publish them. I do not know if the matter is one of coincidence or if they are connected?
They are definitely not connected. WordPress.com subscriptions are of course run by us, and Feedburner is run by Google.
@secondchancetolive-I will go try on my own blog. I’ve had a feedburner subscription there forever just to see how my posts come across to feedburner subscribers.
I use only Feedburner for subscriptions. I do subscribe to my posts and I have not experienced this problem. There’s a help forum at this link > http://www.google.com/support/feedburner/bin/answer.py?answer=79408
Thank you Macmanx, JustJennifer and Timethief. It is a mystery to me too. I do not know why I stopped receiving updates from Feedburner when I publish articles.
As an aside, for some reason I am also unable to view the list of my feed burner subscribers. If anyone can help me locate the list of my feed burner subscribers, your help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Here is the link that I offer my readers to subscribe to Second Chance to Live http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=wordpress%2Fsybb — if this link can be of help to you in locating the list of my Feed burner subscribers.
Thank you in advance for your help in these matters.
Google owns Feedburner and you can access Feedburner through your Google account. We cannot do this for you.
I’m sorry I typed your name wrong Craig. :(
Hi Timethief, No problem on the spelling. All is good. I understand that WordPress and Google are separate, I just thought that some one — with more technical skill than I possess could help me — locate my Feedburner subscribers.
Thank you again for helping me. Have a great day and God bless you Timethief.
