If I upgrade to the Custom Design, can I add images and links to the title bar? I would like a facebook icon and email signup in the header as I’m not using it for text.

The blog I need help with is

Hi saimma. It would be difficult to add those to the top bar using CSS. CSS can help you add colors and change background images, but it’s difficult to use it to add links in a way that would work well.

Thanks andrew – finding a theme that ticks all the boxes is so difficult!

You’re welcome. As someone who as been using WordPress for nearly 10 years, I can attest that you are very correct. It can sometimes be worth it to switch to self-hosted WordPress, which has many more theme options, and gives you the ability to develop custom themes (or pay someone to help you).

CSS can’t be used to add links, but it can sometimes be used to move existing links from one place to another. I do agree with andrewcpht that it would be difficult (but not impossible) to move the menu from the side to the top of the Surburbia theme, and if you’d like to check with a design consultant about seeing what it would cost to have that redesigned for you, this is a good form for that:

Thanks designsimply that sounds good will check it out!
