Suburbia Theme– photos are not showing
I just enacted the Suburbia theme on my blog
and none of my pictures are showing on my main page like the demo suggested. help?
The blog I need help with is sketchbookthought.wordpress.com.
I have the same problem!
I can’t figure this out either. My site is here: http://qc-writers.com/. Can’t get the images to show on the front page. Would also like to limit the amount of text that shows on that front page under each post preview. Can’t seem to figure that out as well.
On the main page, Suburbia doesn’t display regularly inserted images. They only display when a post is viewed on its own page – not on the front page. Only two posts with featured images in them display there side by side.
To have front page image display you need to set a featured image to each post and make each post a sticky post. The size of the featured image does matter. The featured image works best with images at least 350 by 248 (width, height).

If you don’t see the Featured Image module on your Add New or Edit Post page, please make sure you’ve selected Featured Image in your Screen Options. http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options

No, you only need to set featured images.
Oh really? That’s exactly what I did on my blog when I used this theme and it worked very well.
It worked very well, and it makes the main page more interesting, but it’s not needed for image display: what marking posts as stickies does is make them double width.
How interesting. Thanks for the info.
