[Suggestion] A tool for checking for dead links in a blog/website

    Hi :)

    ‘Link rot’ is endemic to the Internet. It’s not something that can be easily cured, but the biggest hurdle is finding the dead links in the first place.

    It should be possible to create a tool, a ‘spider’, that checks all of the links in a specified website and reports on those that come up with ‘404 (not found)’ errors.

    Maybe such a tool already exists, and I simply don’t know about it?

    If not… wouldn’t it be a Good Idea to implement it?
