Summaries with Blog Formats

Basically I want a page called ‘photo gallery’ that has different albums with different days out or holidays which you could click into to see a gallery.

I added a new page called photo gallery, set this under settings>reading to the page where posts will be published. Then I created a new post, each new post will be a gallery of photos and I used post formats to do it.

All works well except I don’t like the way the albums look on the photo gallery page. When I go to photo gallery page the blog posts show as grey squares with the post format logo in the centre, I dont mind the squares or the layout just why are they grey with the post format logo, can I not choose my own image or writing to put there instead?

The blog I need help with is

I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? Thank you for adding Modlook

    You’re welcome.

    Hi there,

Your theme doesn’t show a content summary or excerpt on the Posts page, but instead shows the post title along with an image thumbnail. You can see how it’s supposed to look here:

But it appears in your case you’ve disabled featured images from showing on the site. To re-enable them, click on My Sites, then click the Customize button next to Themes. Click on Content Options.

The “Display on blog and archives” option under featured images need to be selected for the image thumbnails on the Posts page to work.

I also want to mention that there’s an updated version of your theme available:

It looks exactly the same, but it has some added features that your current version doesn’t have.

    Brilliant Thank you!
    Worked perfectly.

Thank you for the theme update too, much better

    Glad I could help :)
