Sunspot – left column question

On the theme, Sunspot, why is there a list of my pages (“Home, Chapter Two, ISO,” etc) in the upper left column? It’s in an odd order that doesn’t make much sense, but I can’t figure out how to edit it? Can you help me?

That is exactly what the theme is designed to display there by default.
    Widget Areas
The Sunspot theme offers two optional widget areas, one in the left column and one in the right column. To activate either area, just drag widgets to them in Appearance → Theme Options.

okay, but is there no way to edit that area? because the way it lists the pages now, it has chapter two listed first, chapter one lower down in the list and a few other random pages…it just doesn’t make any sense. I would like it to list pages there, just in a readable way. If that’s not possible then maybe I need to find another theme. Thanks in advance.

We cannot edit templates or themes on free hosted blogs. CSS editing cannot be used to change the way any theme is deigned to function. It can only be used to change appearance.

I’m not trying to edit the template. I’m trying to figure out how to re-arrange my pages in more coherent order. For example, I liked what they had in the live demo,

where you can see that there is one page listed as a Parent Page with a pull down selection of sub-pages under that.
I know this is something that can be done in a custom menu in a widget area, but I don’t see how I can do that here.
    Thank you.
