Superhero missing custom background feature

  1. On the Superhero theme description page it states there is a custom background. But I activated the theme and there is no option to create one at Appearance > Background, in fact there is no Background link appearing to click, hence I am reporting this to Themes Staff.

    Custom Header and Background

Superhero features a Custom Header that can be set under Appearance → Header. The background can also be customized under Appearance → Background.

Will Support Staff please give Themes Staff a nudge?

The blog I need help with is

  2. Could you please tell me how does the Recent Comments widget looks on this theme? When I do preview, the comment avatars are not aligned properly with the text next to them. The avatars are slightly above the text line, making the widget box look bigger than it should (with un-needed white space). I have reported this behavior in the comment section of the news. I hope they fix it. I like this superhero theme, it reminds me of Regulus which was my first them back in 2006.

  3. I like this theme too and want to see it working properly before I make the switch. I cannot help with the appearance of the Recent Comments widget on my test blog save to say that no gravatar images appear in it even though I did select them to display.

  4. please let it work properly, also I would like to try it!and also sidekick has a problem

  5. also sidekick has a problem

    Do you mean "sidebar"?
Please describe exactly what you mean for Themes Staff.

__ Show header text with your image.

  7. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Custom Background support has been added to Superhero.

  8. Also note the this is not working on the superhero theme either
    Header Text
__ Show header text with your image.

Thanks for the report, I will take a look!

  9. Halleluia! You are here. :)

  10. @timethief:

We have fixed the issue with the header text in Superhero. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.

  11. Hi again,
Thank you so much for the two fixes. I'm going to torture test on the weekend on my test before activating it on my public blog.

  12. @timethief: You're welcome! :)

    also sidekick has a problem

I missed this earlier. Are you referring to the Sidekick theme? If so, can you ask your question in a new topic? I'm going to mark this one as resolved because the reported problem has been fixed. Thanks!

  13. I just want to be able to have my cover photo/header on the main page look like the sample in the Superhero theme. Do I need to be able to write code? It seems impossible...

    Thank you.

  14. hi,

i don't see a featured content area under SETTINGS-->READING. can someone let me know how to get that activated?

also - what is the portfolio slideshow that is used in the sample superhero site?

    thank you!

  15. I'm also having trouble getting the slideshow for featured content to work. The instructions are to go to settings and then click "Reading" but there's no such option available.

    Thank you.

  16. Hi all!

Please create new topics for your questions, as the original question here has been resolved and it's too confusing to try to answer three separate questions in one thread.

I'm going to close this now. Thanks!
