support for rel-payment microformat

    Member already has support for quickly associating microformats with links but the choices are restricted and do not include the rel="payment" microformat. i think this would be a great addition to the choices and will help adoption of alternative currencies.

    no. i'm thinking about things like timebanking where visitors to my blog can easily make a payment to me. i manually created the link (with rel="payment" attribute) on the right:

    i just want to allow me to do that using the faster add a link feature which already has support for things like rel="me", etc.

    matt mullenweg expressed interest in starting his own bank on his blog. this simple change would make it a lot easier for people to do alternative grassroots banking.

If however you are new to and aren't aware of the types of blogs allowed and not allowed here then reading these entries I link to below will be helpful. blogs cannot be used to drive traffic to third party sites and we cannot advertise on free hosted blogs. Therefore blogs cannot be equipped for ecommerce.

    So if you want to have a "commercial" blog then you will need to hire a web host and get a free software download from wordpress.ORG.

  8. You need to talk with staff about this as they are the ones with the say over such things. The vast majority of us here in the forums are simply volunteers and have no sway over what features are supported here.
