I have gone ahead and opened support this weekend. We are in the process of bringing some additional data centers online which will result in faster page load times and even more redundancy, but it is evident that we have a few issues to work out with regards to caching, replication, etc.
Since these issues are easiest diagnosed in real-time, if you are having problems with your blog, please submit feedback with a detailed explanation of the problem. The rest of the WordPress.com team and I will be watching support closely throughout the weekend, resolving as many issues as possible.
