Hi, I would love to use some flash elements in my blog but I saw wordpress is being restrictive on flash. Usually the top part displays as a plain link, ending in .swf, and the bottom part of the flash element works fine. How can I make it work?
The blog I need help with is aquinoxmusic.wordpress.com.
What exactly are you trying to insert into your blog? There are some workarounds for flash, but it depends on what you are wanting to do and where.
Hi i want to embed swf files from box.net
its just songs that i uploaded in the box.net online storage so i can upload it on my blog, can you tell me how to do so?
Unfortunately, we only allow the embedding of audio from uploaded audio (space upgrade required) http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/ or SoundCloud http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/soundcloud-audio-player/
We apologize for the inconvenience.
@tequilafm: macmanx’s reply is incorrect.
• You can also embed mp3s by uploading them to Fileden (or any other site that gives direct URLs) and using their URLs with the shortcode for the WP audio player or a 3rd-party audio player.
• You can embed swf files by using the gigya shortcode.
Please paste the URL of one of your files so we can check.
The first URL isn’t valid. To embed the second, paste this into the HTML post or page editor:
[gigya width="400" height="280" src="http://www.box.net/embed/plcnxvpxx9phegn.swf" ]
Dimensions can be changed.
