en WordPress.com Forums › Support Switching to WordPress.org Author Posts November 9, 2016 at 6:37 pm #2787872 jonesbrownlawyersMember Hi– I recently created a new site with a mapped domain. However, I realized the WordPress.org is better suited for my site’s needs (particularly it’s plugin capabilities). I’m wondering how I would go about switching my site over to WordPress.org and if I can retain that same mapped domain (which I purchased through United Domains). Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m not particularly savvy with this stuff, so as much detail as possible would be amazing. Thank you, Shae The blog I need help with is mycra.sh. That way if anyone tries to visit your old WordPress.com site, they’ll be automatically redirected to your new site. If you have questions on that, let us know.
