    Hi there guys, maybe someone can help me here, cause it’s being quite hard to understand what’s going on.

    I have a wordpress blog (.com) with my own domain, my website is about Progressive Rock Music, and I have pages with bands profiles, and I’m posting their discogs (nothing about download, only data).

    My bad example is this page:
    http://progshine.com/artistas/letra-v/violeta-de-outono/

    I’m using Dreamweaver to help me with Table content, but, as you can see on the link above, I can’t align the text between first and second albuns, cause every time I use a space on the first one (wich is an EP) to align with the second the WordPress editor delete the spaces.

    Thanks in advance.

    The blog I need help with is progshine.com.

    Try using the following as this is what is above the images that are spaced down in the table.

    <p>&nbsp;</p>

    Looking at your source code, it seems that you have lots of junk html in there.
    I’m at the end of my day, and maybe Richard would know more, but I’ll make a little bit of advice here:
    If you want to align text (and or images) in a table row (tr) to align to middle or top or bottom, then the code you need (for middle) is

    <table>
    <tbody>
    <tr>
    <td style="vertical-align:middle;>CONTENT</td>
    <td style="vertical-align:middle;>CONTENT</td>
    </tr>
    </tbody>
    </table>

    Hi,
    I am wondering if this is the right thread, but it sounds like it:
    I have a similar problem. I made a table in order to show the image of a person with a description on the side of it.
    But now somehow the text is always aligned with the lower end of the image. You can actually see how it looks here:
    http://donavit.wordpress.com/personer/

    I tried to align the text as described above with style=”vertical-align:middle; I triple-checked for any sorts of position/spelling mistakes but what it still does:
    After I click on “update” it will just remove the code. And the same problem again.
    Can anyone help me with it? I would be endlessly grateful, I am working on this since days.
    Thanks in advance!

    Code for a table with your first row:

    <table>
    <tbody>
    <tr>
    <td style="vertical-align:middle;"> <a href="http://donavit.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/mats.jpg"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-139 alignleft" title="mats" src="http://donavit.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/mats.jpg?w=112&h=150" alt="" width="112" height="150" /></a></td>
    <td style="vertical-align:middle;">Mats Arvidson<br />
    forskar om musik i den postdigitala tidsåldern och arbetar med Plattform KULTURvetenskaper<br />
    E-post: (email redacted)<br />
    Telefon: 046–222 40 87</td>
    </tr>
    </tbody>
    </table>

    I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work for you.

    Thanks guys, but this don’t works.

    I was using:
    <p> </p>

    But when I go to the Visual editor WordPress simply delete all this code. That’s why the code you gave me 1tess happen the same.

    @progshine
    If you want the cell to align on top, then you must use “vertical-align:top” as below:

    <table>
    <tbody>
    <tr>
    <td style="vertical-align:top;">
    <p style="text-align:center;"><strong><img title="1986 - Violeta De Outono EP" src="http://progshine.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/violeta_de_outono-_ep_1986.jpg?w=280&h=280" alt="" width="280" height="280" /></strong></p>
    <p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Disco:</strong> Violeta De Outono<br />
    <strong>Ano:</strong> 1986<br />
    <strong>Selo:</strong> Wop Bop<br />
    <strong>Tipo:</strong> EP/Estúdio</p>
    <p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Faixas:<br />
    </strong>1. Outono – 3’18<br />
    2. Trópico – 4’14<br />
    3. Reflexos Da Noite – 7’00</p>
    <p style="text-align:center;">
    </p><p style="text-align:center;">
    </p><p style="text-align:center;">
    </p></td>
    <td style="vertical-align:top;">
    <p style="text-align:center;"><img title="1987 - Violeta De Outono" src="http://progshine.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/violeta_de_outono-_1987.jpg?w=280&h=280" alt="" width="280" height="280" /></p>
    <p style="text-align:center;"><strong></strong><strong>Disco:</strong> Violeta De Outono<br />
    <strong>Ano:</strong> 1987<br />
    <strong>Selo:</strong> RCA<br />
    <strong>Tipo:</strong> Estúdio</p>
    <p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Faixas:<br />
    </strong>1. Outono – 3’33<br />
    2. Declínio De Maio – 5’02<br />
    3. Faces – 3’41<br />

    Ooops. I didn’t mean to paste the whole code—only the part about vertical-align.
