tagalog translation

Hello: I am creating a website for an NGO that provides crisis support to Filipino migrant workers. It would be ideal if there was an option on the website for users to translate the site into Filipino/ Tagalog language.

Could you please help me with this? I’ll be paying for the basic premium fee eventually so we can have a domain name- maybe it will be included then? Thanks.

    Hello there,
I have flagged this thread so it will be moved to the Translations Forum for you.

@centerformigrantadvocacy: hi there, sorry for the response delay. So, if I understand correctly, you want to have two versions of your blog, one in English and one in Tagalog? You can achieve this by either creating a second blog and linking the two blogs (and publishing content on them in parallel), or by using two categories on your blog, “English” and “Tagalog”.

As for letting users translate your content, there is not a built-in tool to “crowdsource” this. You can however add multiple users to your blog with different authoring roles, if you want more people to be able to post on your blog. You can read about user roles here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

We also have a translation project, where the WordPress.com interface is being translated into Tagalog by volunteer translators: http://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/tl/default

Every WordPress.com can contribute, including you. Read more here about WordPress.com translation process: http://en.support.wordpress.com/translation-faq/

Let me know if you have any more questions!
