tagline not showing

  1. All of a sudden, my tagline is no longer showing on my blog ( I haven't changed it, and it's still there when I go to the general settings page. ???

The blog I need help with is

  2. Hello there,
I believe this has been resolved as this is what I see:
pathwriter - random thoughts and inspirations

  3. Thanks, timethief. I switched themes today, and when I did, the tagline re-appeared. Go figure. :)

  4. Some themes are code to display taglines and some aren't. :)
Some themes are code to display authors and some are not.
And so on ... lol :D

Will you please be kind enough to enter the top of this thread and mark it "resolved".

  5. Sure. I'd been using that theme for several months, and the tagline had always been visible until today, so I don't know what was going on. I didn't change themes to try to fix the problem...I just felt like trying a different theme. The tagline re-appearing was just a bonus! :)

  6. Maybe Staff were in the backend "tinkering". ;)

  7. :)

  8. Sorry...I decided that I didn't like the new theme that I switched to, so I switched back to my original one---and the tagline still isn't showing. When I go to the page where I can customize my header, it's there in the preview of the header, but when I view the actual site, it's not. It was never a problem until today, and I'm not aware of having done anything to make this happen.

  9. That line exists on all blogs but as I said above not all themes are coded to display a tagline. There should be a tagline display on Under the Influence. Please make sure your go here > Apearance > Theme Options > Description and enable "on" to display it.

  10. Nerts! I just set this up on my test blog and the tagline is not displaying. I'm flagging this thread so it gets moved to the Themes Forum where Themes Staff can respond to this issue.

  11. P.S. Will you remove the "resolved" from this thread please?

  12. Done. Thanks for the help and for referring the problem to the Themes folks. Hope it's an easy fix. My blog title looks kind of...well, naked...without the tagline! :)
